About Hawk Creek
Our Story
The vineyard and future winery in California’s gold country is located at the southern end of the Fair Play American Viticulture Area. Established in 1999 along Cedar Creek outside the abandoned mining town of Coyoteville.
The Vineyard
The vineyard basks in warm sunlight, cooled by afternoon falling foothill temperatures and mountain breezes, allowing a longer growing season with full flavor development.
We grow Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Primitivo, Roussanne, Viognier, Zinfandel, and Muscat Blanc on our estate vineyard in El Dorado County.
